INFO: How to Make Self-Watering Planters from Recycled Plastic is a workshop with Windmill Community Gardens that helps
you turn plastic bottles into beautifully crafted self-watering planters or vertical gardens to grow food or herbs in.
You’ll make a planter with a fruit or leafy green seed to start your garden off and shown how to make basic Macramé to hang
your planters in, an ancient knotting practise first discovered in the carvings from the Babylonians and Assyrians.
In addition to taking these home, there will be stencils and pens that your children can use to decorate uncut bottles.

I also drew the image on this bag so it mimicked the branding they currently use. One thing of note: they basically shoved a lot of left over body parts inside the Frieze on the building. Maybe they didn't think someone would look that closely at the time.

INFO: This project was about raising awareness for indigenous beliefs and culture internationally. It is anti-colonial at its core and explored the many benefits and systems to be learned from stories, myths and objects. Themes like navigation, protecting our landscapes, seas and human perception. When we began this project back in early 2020, we had no idea how it would change our insights and have since also seen these ideas blossom into contributions to this pursuit across the world. Borneo in Malaysia still has a large indigenous population with many different tribes living in the community and in the jungle. This was where most of our research took place and Australia. The aims of this project were to support and assist understanding between communities and to educate the world. We researched their lives not to romanticise their practices but to provide a platform for them to tell their own stories in their own words.
